After trying a couple of pre workout supplements I was keen to give Pre-Jym a try. It has a huge dose of caffeine, plus Citrulline Malate, BCAAs, Beta Alanine, Creatine and a few other good ingredients.

I went for the Orange Mango flavour and I have to say it’s the best pre workout I’ve tasted. I think it might be too sweet for some but I didn’t mind it. It also mixes very well, it might not look like it as you can see particles floating but it’s really smooth and there’s no tangy taste as you get to the bottom of it.

You get a slight itchy feeling from the Beta Alanine but nowhere near as strong as other pre workouts so if that’s something that has bothered you previously, I think you should still be OK with this.

I feel energized throughout my workouts and have been able to get through more sets and reps than I’ve done with other pre workouts. It’s quite expensive but you do get 30 servings and I’ll be buying it again.

My only fault with it is a lack of L-Theanine. I’m quite tolerant to caffeine but 300mg can be too much for people, a bit of L-Theanine in here would help keep it under control.

In my opinion Pre Jym has everything I would look for in a pre workout. I am relatively new getting back into lifting and supplements. When I was younger I was an athlete and a Marine and worked out often and used supplements on and off. I am now a little older and getting back to work trying to get rid of “dad bod.” It seems that supplements have really taken off. I have used many different supplements especially pre workouts, mostly from the big name brands.

I think the pre-workout was decent for the first three days and then I just used it for cardio. That’s not a bad thing but for what I wanted it for, which was lifting and to get me focused for HIT, it was a flop. I think When it first came out, it was revolutionary. It was one of the first “complete pre-workouts”. But now there are many pre-workouts on the market that have higher doses and more ingredients than this one. I think he needs to reformulate again to be competitive. I always take dietary supplements and perhaps I have built a tolerance but I am overall disappointed. Strawberry Kiwi: 8/10
